2. 2-Point Rotation. Choose any two points and rotate your pattern to align, great for placing designs in awkward angles.
3. Crop. Cut off portions of patterns that you don't wish to stitch, avoiding stitching "in air".
4. Find Center, Find Start and New Start Point. New functions to help you place designs accurately and allow you to start stitching from any point in a design.
5. Auto/Manual Pull-Up. Allows you to manually move the machine aside to pull up threads at the beginning of a design, if you wish.

8. Oiling the NEW Bernina 830
• Open the bobbin door
• With your left hand, hold the bobbin-case; with your
right hand, turn the hand wheel clockwise until the
hook is in the position pictured at the right. You will
hear loud clicking while turning the hand wheel, this is normal.
• Put one drop of oil in the groove shown in this picture.
• Close the bobbin door, again you will hear loud clicking.
• Briefly run machine without thread to spread oil without ruining fabric.
The correct hook oil for the 830 is Velocite #6. This oil is in a round bottle and is different
than the hook oil for the previous rotary hooks. If the proper oil is not used you may
get severe looping and tension issues.

Our precious Belle

This past Saturday, we lost our most precious friend, Belle. Susie, Hank, along with all our SFTH staff and many of you, are deeply saddened.
